Our team of dynamic trainers will proudly support your District’s history-making efforts to implement an inclusive Black History curriculum. To meet your needs, the Black History 365 (BH365) professional development is designed to be delivered virtually or face-to-face. Our training will equip teachers and leaders with the tools required to successfully implement the BH365 curriculum.
Participants will have a non-judgmental environment to engage in an in-depth examination of the distinction between cultural competence and cultural humility. This four (4) half-day learning series can be delivered face-to-face or virtually.
A half-day training in which Principals deepen their understanding of the BH365 curriculum elements and teacher resources. A “Look For” map is provided to support implementation.
A one-day training in which the BH365 Facilitator is equipped to effectively utilize the BH365 curriculum resources. The Teacher Resource Guide is provided during training.
A four-day training in which BH365 Facilitators take a deep dive into each Unit and begin developing their curriculum maps to foster effective implementation.
BH365 facilitators will have access to ten monthly sessions to deepen their Unit specific content knowledge. Facilitators will have the opportunity to share strategies with colleagues from around the country during each session.
BH365 facilitators will have on-demand access to a trainer/coach who can assist with content questions that emerge during the school year.
